Santaland

Santaland is a collection of past major Christmas displays in and around Portland. We started with window displays from the Meyer and Frank department store, and have been growing the collection since then. The goal is to preserve as many past Christmas memories as possible for you to share with your Children. We do our best to refurbish and keep some of the historical information at hand to share, as well as recreate other pieces from photos and stories to have the best experience possible.  
 
Santaland is housed in a warehouse year round, during Christmas each year we open up to the public to enjoy what we have collected, during the rest of the year we are available by appointment. We use the building to warehouse and refurbish several Christmas displays, of which some are sent out on display elsewhere during Christmas.
 
We support Santaland with our annual Christmas Tree and Decoration sale. We have an assortment of fresh greenery, and other decorations for sale which helps us keep Santaland open for free.

Santaland is free to visit and to see Santa Claus. Check our schedule for days and times Santa will be available. We have things for sale like Photos, Cookies, Christmas Trees and other Decorations for your home if you like, but Santa and Santaland are always free.

We open the First week of November every year and stay open up though Christmas Eve.  As we get closer check out our Instagram @NobHillChristmas, we post updates regularly there as well as keep our hours of operation updated on Google, Yelp, and Apple Maps.  You can also sign up for our email list ((CLICK HERE https://forms.gle/S9KejMpC9mxMfofX6 )) for a maximum of 2 update emails a year, one before Thanksgiving and one before Christmas In Summer.  Sometimes there are also deals and specials in these emails.
 
We are also open for 1 day for Christmas in Summer.  The last Sunday in June each year we open for one day for free visits to Santaland, some Christmas retail items are also available, but not our full selection.  Follow us on Instagram @NobHillChristmas for updates.

Tree Delivery

Deliveries start at 4pm daily...

If you Placed an online Pre Order, we begin delivering these trees Friday after Thanksgiving between 4-8pm.  We will send a confirmation email to you after you place your order with this date and time as well.  We highly suggest putting a note on your online order with door codes, or instructions if you are not home.  We always call the phone number 4-5min before the delivery to ask you to come down to the street and meet us so make sure you keep your phone close.

For in person orders, we deliver the trees starting at 4pm every day, same as with online orders we suggest a note if you are not home and a good phone number for us to call when we are getting close.

If for any reason we miss you, we will not leave your tree without instruction from you, we will put it back in the truck to be delivered the next day we are open.If you need a tighter delivery appointment, check out our ‘Enhanced Delivery” option.

Most Christmas trees are delivered Curbside by our staff. We start deliveries at 4pm and usually are done before 8pm. We will call when we are 4-5 min away and ask that you meet us down on the street. If you have a tree stand, bring it with you we are happy to install it. We also have tree bags to wrap your tree up for it’s journey inside (most buildings require this). This is Curbside only and due to the tight schedule and liability staff are not allowed to go inside buildings or homes.

Need some more help with your tree or are you outside of our delivery area? Within a 1 hour delivery window, Enhanced Delivery includes the delivery of your tree, installing the stand and wrapping in a bag, taking inside your home or business and being unwrapped and adjusted to your liking. We will also clean up any mess made on our way in. Please have a clear path to where you would like the tree setup, our staff will not be responsible for damage to furniture or other items within your home. Enhanced Delivery starts at $45 for zones immediately around the tree lot and is also available to the rest of the metro area with a milage fee. This is subject to scheduling availability.

We have a very tight delivery area for Christmas Trees

For Curbside Tree Deliveries there are 4 zones on the Downtown West Side of Portland. This includes S Waterfront, Pearl, PSU/SW, Nob HIll up to 25th ave /Westover, and Balch Canyon up to 35th ave.

For Enhanced Delivery, we deliver to the inner Metro area (see map area within red line) from Hillsboro to Gresham, and From Vancouver to Wilsonville.

Trees

We do 2 major cuts and then some smaller ones in-between.  Our first major cut is always the 2nd week of November, it takes about 2 weeks to get them all cut, and brought down to the building, the second cut is the first week of December.  Each morning we restock using trees from these 2 cuts, with respect to making sure we cycle the inventory so there are no forgotten trees in the back.  If we are running low on a particular size of tree we do our best to get back out and cut some more to bring in the following day.  All trees get a fresh cut before leaving on your car or for delivery.  We cut 1-2” from the bottom, so they are fresh and ready to drink water when they get to your home.  If you are not going to put the tree up right away we suggest putting the stand on the tree outside and filling it with water or a bucket of water to keep the fresh cut wet.  I have tested lots of ideas on how to keep a tree fresh longer, 90% of the time it is just keeping the trunk wet with plain water.  We also sell some non toxic tree preservatives if you like those.

We do not offer recycling services for Christmas trees but the great folks at the Lions Club do!!

Included with all of our Christmas trees is a complementary tree bag, when setting up your tree rather than remove the bag roll it down to the bottom and hide it with your tree skirt, then when the season is over…
Remove all of your decorations and as much water from the bottom as possible
Pull the bag up over the tree & walk the tree outside of the house, and then remove the stand.

We do not accept returns however if for any reason your are not happy with your purchase please email us, we are glad to exchange for a new one. For tree's that were delivered we will re deliver a new tree and pickup the old one, for other items please bring them back to one of our locations to exchange.
